New Porsche Cayenne, Cayenne Coupe Spy Shots Show Off Styling Updates

[ad_1]

Porsche is getting ready to update the Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe, and a new series of spy shots show the two SUVs being tested together. The automaker isn’t even trying to hide the updated model, which features revamped styling inside and out and very little camouflage to hide those tweaks.

Both have their differences, but they will share many new style updates. Porsche provided a revamped front and rear fascia pair that is more aggressive than the current model. The SUV will also sport slimmer headlights and completely new LED taillights. Porsche also moved the number plate on the Cayenne to match the Cayenne coupe.

Porsche hasn’t released powertrain details yet, but the automaker is bucking the trend of taking them unchanged. A new rumor suggests that the Cayenne will receive a revised PHEV powertrain that will be shared with the next-generation Panamera. The updated hybrid powertrain will supposedly receive a larger battery pack for greater range and updated electric motors and engines.

Porsche is likely to update its entire powertrain lineup, which will provide performance and efficiency improvements where needed. Porsche is offering the Cayenne in several flavors, all of which will get their own twist on Porsche’s planned mid-cycle update. That includes their interior and powertrain, so we’ll be looking for news on the Cayenne Turbo, E-Hybrid, GTS, and more.

Previous spy shots captured the revamped SUV’s interior in an incomplete state, but Porsche can’t hide all the changes. The Cayenne will receive a new gear lever that was used minimally on the 992 generation 911. Shots reveal a chunky look and thick bezels protruding from the dashboard, so we expect Porsche to make more changes to the instrument panel.

Porsche has yet to announce a debut date for the updated SUV. The current generation Cayenne was launched in 2017, so there will be changes. We expect the new SUV to arrive later this year and go on sale for the 2023 model year. Spy shots of the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid from last September reveal that model styling refreshes will proliferate across the Cayenne lineup.
