Cadillac Society Take
The slight decline in Cadillac Mexico sales in June extended the marque’s negative behavior in the Latin country. In fact, June was the sixth month in a row that Cadillac Mexico sales were in the red. However, it should be noted that Cadillac’s lineup in Mexico is limited, consisting of three utility vehicles – the XT4, XT5 and Escalade. In other words, the XT6, CT4 and CT5 are not offered in the local market.
The setback was due to a reduction in the volume of the Cadillac XT4. The compact crossover is down eight units year-over-year, tipping the scales to the negative. Additionally, Cadillac Escalade lost momentum after experiencing a significant volume recovery in May in Mexico. Even so, shipments of the full-size luxury SUV were down by just one unit compared to the same month in 2022.
For its part, the Cadillac XT5 was the only model to post an increase in sales in June. Sales increased not only for the month, but also for the year’s total. However, this did not have a major impact on the brand’s overall volume due to the low level of sales of the XT5 in Mexico.
