2024 Cadillac XT5 Adds New Red Accent Package

1 min read

Three new exterior packages are available for the 2024 Cadillac XT5, including the Blue Accent Package, the Bronze Accent Package, and the Red Accent Package. Below, we delve into what’s on offer in the final package, the Red Accent Package.

To get the Red Accent Package (production code PDK), customers must choose the 2024 Cadillac XT5 Sport, as it is not offered in the Luxury or Premium Luxury trims. The Red Accent Package is an LPO level item (dealer installed), and costs $2,995 to add to the luxury crossover, incorporating the following elements (the relevant production codes are listed in brackets):

  • Red body sticker, LPO (SB9)
  • Monochrome Cadillac emblem, PUT (SFZ)
  • Wheels Gloss Black 20 inch, LPO (S2K)
  • Red wheel center cap, LPO (5ZD)
  • Black wheel nut, LPO (SPY)
  • Black wheel lock, LPO (SPZ)
  • Tire Pressure Monitor, LPO (SPZ)

The Gloss Black wheels included in the package replace the standard 12-spoke 20-inch wheels with Pearl Nickel coating (production code Q71).

Aside from the addition of a new trio package, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 doesn’t feature any major changes compared to the 2023 model year. It does, however, lose three exterior paint color options, while gaining two new ones, including Emerald Lake Metallic (paint code G61) and Midnight Sky Metallic. (cat code GXF).

All of the 2024 Cadillac XT5 engines carry over from the 2023 model year. That means that the Luxury and Premium Luxury trim levels continue to be powered by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY) as standard, which produces 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. These models can be identified by the 350T badge on the tailgate.

Meanwhile, a naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 engine (production code LGX), with 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, will be an option in the Premium Luxury trim and standard in the Sport trim. These models can be identified by the 400 badge on the trunk lid.

Like all first-generation XT5 units, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 stays on the C1 platform. The 2024 model enters production at Cadillac’s Spring Hill plant in Tennessee in June 2023. The luxury crossover will last for at least the 2024 model year before exiting the North American market, indirectly being replaced by the Cadillac Lyriq. However, the Chinese market will receive the overhauled XT5.
