Roofnest introduces the Falcon 2 roof tent which gives the original version of 2019 a complete redesign. Prices start at $3,595 for a model that measures 88 inches long, 50 inches wide, and 6.5 inches high when closed. XL version is $3,795 and expands its width to 60 inches to give the bed more room to stretch out.
The bottom shell takes its cue from the Falcon Pro which has the highest reach in Roofnest. It uses honeycomb aluminum and has dual accessory channels. They can hold up to 75 pounds and use standard M8 hex bolts to attach any gear. To get to the tent, there is an eight-foot-high telescopic aluminum ladder.

On the inside, Roofnest uses a thicker, quieter 320 gram poly-cotton material as the fabric for the tent. It has a black-out layer so the sun doesn’t disturb your sleep in the morning. Zippered rain covers cover the three entrances in case you get caught in a storm.
Occupants rest on a 2.5-inch thick memory foam mattress. There are six pockets for storing things like your smartphone or tablet. Two, dimmable, battery-powered LED strips provide the light there.
The Falcon line is above the Condor Roofnest offering. The range-topping option is the $4,095 Falcon Pro. It features PVC skylight panels on the roof that allow for star gazing at night.
The top Condor model is Overland for $3,595. It has an aluminum shell and a folding sleeping area that is 93 inches long and 54 inches wide. There are three accessory channels that can hold 100 pounds when the tent is closed or 40 pounds when opened.
In 2021, Motor1.com editor Brett T. Evans got the chance to sleep in the Roofnest Condor during a trip to Sequoia National Park. He found the setup easy, and the mattress comfortable. “It was actually one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had while camping, refreshing me almost completely before it was time to head home,” she wrote.
