The deal comes as part of an extension of the current multi-year partnership between Motorsport Games and Formula E.
Motorsport Games will apply Formula E, including drivers and teams, into rFactor 2, the premier racing simulation platform available today. All drivers and teams will be updated to reflect the currently ongoing Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Once implemented, rFactor 2 will feature every Formula E season since 2018 and provide availability to race on many of the high-fidelity circuits in the series. Formula E content packs will be available for purchase to all rFactor 2 users.

In addition to adding the Formula E series to rFactor 2, Formula E will launch Speeding up the esports series which will be supported by the in-game competition platform rFactor 2. Additionally, rFactor 2 will power the Formula E Gaming Arena in upcoming races and events allowing players to experience the thrill of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in venues around the world, including Rome. , Berlin, and New York City. “Formula E is about accelerating change, for this reason, we want to give more accessibility to our sport and push the boundaries of what is possible both on and off the track,” said Kieran Holmes-Darby, Game Director at Formula E.
The partnership between the two brands further builds on the foundations that were set earlier when Motorsport Games hosted the ABB Formula E esports event Race at Home Challenge for the FIA.
