For more than five decades, we’ve known Hot Wheels for their die-cast toys and crazy tracks. You’ve probably had one before and there’s a good chance that there’s still one left on your shelf right now.
During the pandemic, cryptocurrencies have gained popularity and among them, NFT or non-exchangeable tokens are a hit. NFTs are serial items that exist in the digital world, which can then be sold for cryptocurrencies.
Hot Wheels has also entered the cryptocurrency world with Garage NFT through the Worldwide Asset eXchange (WAX). With the Series 1 selling out last year, the two companies are back for a second installment, along with a few upgrades.
First, the Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series 2 now features 10 licensed vehicle models in the various Mini Collections available. Spread all over Hot Wheels Car Meets, Hot Wheel Fire, night burnerand Trunk SquadIconic cars from the two automakers have joined the fray.
Vehicles from GM, such as the 1991 GMC Syclone, 1971 Buick Riviera, 1967 Oldsmobile 442, 1955 Chevy Bel Air Gasser, and Corvette C8.R are up for grabs. On the other hand, the formidable Honda S2000 and Honda Civic Type R represent the Japanese side, along with the 1990 Acura NSX and 2001 Acura Integra GSR Custom.
Much like the Series 1, the Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series 2 allows shoppers to get their hands on a physical die-cast toy if they happen to own four of these cars: Custom Otto, Honda S2000, Corvette C8.R, Aristo Rat, and a 1955 Chevy Bel Gasser Air.
The four rarity types from Series 1 are still intact for Series 2, although there is one addition called Show Room which has a pull chance of only 0.14 percent. In total, there are up to 184,250 NFT cards available in Series 2.
Sales of Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series 2 begin March 31, 2022 at 1:00 PM ET and open at 4:00 PM ET. Each package of seven NFT collectibles will be priced at $25 USD. Fans can purchase up to four packages per credit card transaction.
