Detailer Cleans Moldy Barn Pontiac G6 Barn Satisfying To Watch

The Pontiac G6 will always be remembered as one of the most significant models in the automaker’s lineup. It was a stylish and sporty car that was loved by its owners and will always be remembered as a symbol of the Pontiac brand.

Unfortunately, the G6 was discontinued in 2010, along with the entire Pontiac brand. The brand was discontinued as part of General Motors’ restructuring efforts during the 2008-2009 financial crisis.

One of the previously sold Pontiac G6s sat in the woods for five years. Fortunately, it has been given a new lease on life thanks to the team of detailers at WD details.

As you can see in the video at the top of this page, the G6 is covered in unsavory jungle remnants, with one side covered in mold and mildew, nearly turning the panel green. To restore the car to its former glory, the detailer starts with a pressure wash to remove all dirt and grime from the body. This is followed by washing, a clay stick to remove stubborn dirt, and finally a polish to restore its shine.

Other parts of the sedan are also given full detail measurements, including the removal of the mold. The process begins by vacuuming the engine and trunk, so that later it’s easier to clean. The wheels and door frames were then pressure washed, and the engine bay was reduced and cleaned.

Although the car hasn’t been used for a long time, the interior is surprisingly clean, apart from a few mildew spots. Floor mats are cleaned using a tornado joint, which is better suited for shorter fibers. Finally, the car is polished to a shine and ready to be used again.

All in all, detailers turned the abandoned Pontiac G6 into a car that looks and feels like new. Watching the process from start to finish is satisfying; we can only imagine the satisfaction the detailers felt seeing their work at the end.
