We Found A Website That Will Solve “Which Is Bigger?” Debate

1 min read

I remember very clearly, not long ago, two of my friends almost got into a fight and argued about which of them was bigger. One owns a Mazda MX-5 Miata, while the other drives a Toyota 86. They argue that each of their Japanese coupes is bigger than the other, and decide to argue in the parking lot… to no avail.

Now, that size comparison debacle could have been prevented if we knew this website existed then. Car sized (hat tip to drives) conveniently using an easy-to-use visualizer aimed at comparing cars sold worldwide by size.

Comparison of Car-Sized Vehicle Sizes

And yes, for you guys, the 86 (which predates the current Toyota GR86) is bigger than the MX-5 in almost every aspect, so never mind.

Best of all, you can compare cars from different brands and see the differences side by side, from the front, and from the rear. You can even compare cars from different eras and see how much the vehicles have grown over the years.

Fair warning, this website can take up a lot of your time if you’re a car nerd, so be sure to visit it on your own time (or at least keep it hidden from your boss).

Now if you’re wondering why the Lexus LS is compared to the Ford Ranger Raptor above, that’s another experience I’ve had with regards to size. See, I once washed a Lexus LS through a local car wash, which rates their service based on vehicle body type (regardless of size). Since the LS is “only” a sedan (cheapest fare), I was only charged for the three-box model even though the Lexus is about as long as a T6 platform Ford truck.

The next time you and your friends end up arguing about which is bigger, you know how to settle the score without hurting one another, physically and emotionally.
