Tesla is expected to build a new manufacturing facility in Nevada that will manufacture its electric semi trucks. While Tesla isn’t expected to officially announce its plans until later today, Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo mentioned the deal last night during his State of the Union address.
Lombardo said the new facility was planned to be built in northern Nevada. He also said the cost was estimated at $3.5 billion. The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is said to be where the production of the Tesla Semi, which first batch shipped to Pepsi last month, is said to be.
