The 2023 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV add three new exterior colors to their palettes: Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic, and Dark Emerald Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new Emerald hue.

Given the production code G6N and the paint code WA-619G, Dark Emerald Metallic is one of nine exterior colors offered on the full-size luxury SUV, which include:

  • Crystal White Tricoat
  • Mahogany Metal
  • Galaxy Gray Metallic
  • Black Crow
  • Sandstone Metallic
  • Dark Blue Metallic Moon
  • Dark Emerald Metallic (new for 2023)
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (new for 2023)
  • Argent Silver Metallic (new for 2023)

The Dark Emerald Metallic color is an extra-cost color that adds an additional $625 to the price of the vehicle. It can be combined with all six interior colorways:

  • Deep black
  • Parchment with Jet Black Accents
  • Brandy with a Very Dark Mood Accent
  • Whisper Beige with Jet Black Accents
  • Whisper Beige with a Gideon Accent
  • Dark Auburn with Jet Black Accents

This new paint is available on both the “regular” Escalade model and the supercharged Escalade-V.

The big update for the 2023 model year will be the debut of the aforementioned high-performance 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V, which delivers unrivaled power and performance thanks to its supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 petrol engine. Output is rated at 682 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 653 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm, launching the luxury marque’s iconic full-size SUV from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.

As for the rest of the Cadillac Escalade trim levels, engine options include the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 petrol engine, producing 420 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 Duramax turbodiesel, powered 277 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Both engines are connected to Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission.

Per Cadillac’s Y-trim level strategy, six trim levels are offered, including base Luxury, followed by Premium Luxury and Premium Luxury Platinum and Sport and Sport Platinum, and the new top-of-the-line Escalade-V.
