The updated 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class lineup comes with an updated look, technology enhancements and powertrain upgrades. The entire revised model family goes on sale in the US later this year. Prices will be available closer to their arrival.

2024 Mercedes CLA 250

As entry points in the lineup, there are the front-wheel drive CLA 250 and the all-wheel drive CLA 250 4Matic. They still use the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 221 horsepower (165 kilowatts). The powertrain gains a 48-volt electrical system and a belt-driven starter generator that produces 13 horsepower (10 kilowatts) for smooth driving when the start-stop system shuts down the engine.

The vehicle received an updated nose with a redesigned front fascia and a star pattern for the mesh on the center grille. The headlights have new graphics inside the lights. At the rear, the designers tweaked the diffuser.

Mercedes is offering the refreshed CLA 250 model in new Hyper Blue and Starling Blue colors. There are also three additional wheel designs.

Inside, they now come standard with a 10.25-inch display for the instrument cluster and infotainment display. MBUX software has new Classic, Sporty and Discreet look styles. The steering wheel gets Nappa leather and a heated version is an option. Updated cabin trim options include dark carbon-look materials, open-pored brown linden wood or brown microfibre. The optional Burmester stereo gets Dolby Atmos functionality.

The Parking plan is standard and includes a 360 degree camera view. The available Driver Assistance Package is updated to improve steering control for the lane keeping assist system.

2024 Mercedes-AMG CLA 35 and 45 S

The AMG CLA lineup comprises the 35 and 45 S models. The 35 also gets a 48-volt electrical system and a belt-driven starter generator. The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine continues to produce 302 hp (225 kW). It is now connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, rather than the current seven-gear setup.

The 45 S now produced 416 hp (310 kW), from 382 hp (285 kW) previously. Torque increased to 369 pound-feet (500 Newton-meters) instead of 354 lb-ft (480 Nm). Mercedes did not change the estimated acceleration time to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in 4.0 seconds.

AMG models also receive a new front fascia. The headlights and taillights have been graphically revised. The 45 S is available with the AMG Aerodynamics Package Plus which adds a fixed rear spoiler.

The 35 received a new three wheel design. The standard setup consists of 10-spoke 18-inch wheels with a glossy black finish and machined finish. The 19-inch option has five pairs of spokes and comes with machined surfaces or machined rims.

The 45 came standard with the 19-inch design with machined surfaces. Another 19-inch display is optional.

Inside, there’s the option of a new mix of Sage Gray and Black MB-Tex seats or an optional Red and Black leather combo. Open porous brown linden wood trim is available. The updated steering wheel has two stacked spokes at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions.
