We expect the CR-V to be fun—they always are, in an anonymous way—but the new sixth-generation model is a lot more impressive than we expected. It’s a complete package that exceeds its weight on so many levels. Of the two available powertrains, we recommend the hybrid because it is more powerful, much more fuel efficient, more complete, and feels smoother when used.
