A New Infiniti Two-Row Crossover Will Join The Lineup By 2025

Infiniti will soon be expanding its crossover lineup. In a meeting last week, the automaker had promised its dealers that the new model would arrive by 2025, according to a report by Automotive News. The new crossover will be placed between the QX50 and QX60 but will use the latter platform. However, it will be a two-row model as opposed to a three-row QX60.

In addition to the new model, Infiniti is also previewing a redesigned version of the QX80 SUV, as well as the brand’s first electric vehicle. The latter is said to be a swoopy sedan built in 2025 at Nissan’s plant in Mississippi.

In Automotive News report, Sam Fiorani, vice president at Automated Forecasting Solutionsays that the new Infiniti model will be the right-sized model for “empty occupants and small families” – a segment dominated by the Lexus RX and Mercedes-Benz GLE.

When it comes to electrification, Kargar tells Automotive News that it won’t forget about ICE-powered models as it expands its EV portfolio. He believes many customers will still be looking for conventionally powered cars even in 2030.

To recall, Infiniti announced in November 2021 that it would sell most electric vehicles by 2030. In a later video presentation, the company said that it “will not let our own battery size define us, but rather, empower customers to choose the power source that suits them best.” their way of life.”

Infiniti also teased a shadow image of the low-slung model in its announcement last year. While it’s mostly a concept, what makes the teaser interesting is when the footage shows a working tachometer, hinting that it will be a hybrid model rather than a full EV.

For what it’s worth, it’s an attractive move for Infiniti, given that most automakers have promised full cost of electrification. We’ll know a lot more about this in the next few years, along with a new crossover that will soon be joining the lineup.
