The 2023 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV add three new exterior colors to their palettes: Argent Silver Metallic, Dark Emerald Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat. Here’s our first look at the new Red hue.

Given the production code GNT and the paintwork code WA-170H, Radiant Red Tintcoat is one of nine exterior colors offered on the full-size luxury SUV, which include:

  • Crystal White Tricoat
  • Mahogany Metal
  • Galaxy Gray Metallic
  • Black Crow
  • Sandstone Metallic
  • Dark Blue Metallic Moon
  • Dark Emerald Metallic (new for 2023)
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (new for 2023)
  • Argent Silver Metallic (new for 2023)

The Radiant Red Tintcoat color is a surcharge color that adds an additional $1,225 to the price of the vehicle. It can be combined with all six interior colorways:

  • Deep black
  • Parchment with Jet Black Accents
  • Brandy with a Very Dark Mood Accent
  • Whisper Beige with Jet Black Accents
  • Whisper Beige with a Gideon Accent
  • Dark Auburn with Jet Black Accents

The big update for the 2023 model year will be the debut of the high-performance 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V, which delivers unrivaled power and performance thanks to its supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 petrol engine. Output is rated at 682 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 653 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm, launching the luxury marque’s iconic full-size SUV from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. As luck would have it, the Radiant Red Tintcoat hue is also available on Escalade-V.

As for the rest of the Cadillac Escalade trim levels, engine options include the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 petrol engine, producing 420 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 Duramax turbodiesel, powered 277 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Both engines are connected to Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission.

Per Cadillac’s Y-trim level strategy, six trim levels are offered, including base Luxury, followed by Premium Luxury and Premium Luxury Platinum and Sport and Sport Platinum, and the new top-of-the-line Escalade-V.
