What’s that Everything Everywhere At Once, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, or just the Marvel Cinematic Universe in general, the multiverse is a hot topic in pop culture today. Acura is capitalizing on this trend for its new ad campaign called New world. Same Energy. Pay close attention because there’s even a teaser for the Integra Type S for a few seconds.

A glimpse of the Integra Type S lasts from the 37 second point to the 42 second mark in the video. In those five seconds, the car is zooming towards the camera with its massive front splitter and equally large rear wing. It’s a race down a mountainous trail that evokes the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The driver is Chiaki who is the star of the anime series Acura Type S: Chiaki’s Journey.

Motor1.com should drive an Integra Type S prototype in 2022. Final specifications aren’t yet available, but the development vehicle uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an estimated output of just over 300 horsepower (224 kilowatts). A six-speed manual gearbox will be available.

The ad starts in the Future-verse with the TLX Type S whizzing through an industrial environment and then moves on to an Integra in a high-tech city.

Next stop is a Jones ode in which the MDX Type S breaks the tedium of cookie-cutter housing development.

Then, the action switches to the Lunar-verse. There, the RDX speeds along a rocky face before nearly sliding off the mountain.

The anime verse is where the Integra Type S lives, and that carries over to the Racer verse. The new ARX-06 race car is there, and the alien landscape includes lots of red grass.

The final location is the EV-verse. The Acura Precision EV Concept occupies this space and appears to race across space. The electric crossover previews the upcoming ZDX and ZDX Type S. They will have a full premiere later in 2023 and will be on sale for the 2024 model year.

Acura started 2023 with a bang. The Integra beat out the Genesis G80 EV and Nissan Z to take this year’s North American Car of the Year award.
