Where we are building, we don’t need roads. That’s right, there’s now a Lego model from Delorean depicting the iconic machine from Back to the future. In fact, you can create it in one of three ways to depict your favorite vehicle version from the trilogy of films in the franchise.

Lego Back to the future DeLorean has 1,872 pieces. The finished model measures approximately 14 inches (35 cm) long, 7.5 inches (19 cm) wide and 4.5 inches (12 cm) high. Obviously, you can’t make all three body variants together from a single kit, but You can swap pieces to switch to your favorite.

Lego DeLorean Retail for $169.99and goes on sale on April 1, 2022. Lego recommends this model for people aged 18+.

To put these numbers into perspective against other cinematic cars, the latest kit for the new Batmobile features 1,360 pieces. It is about 17 inches (45 centimeters) long with rear flame attached, 6 inches (17 centimeters) wide and 4 inches (11 centimeters) high. This model costs $99.99.

The DeLorean kit comes with a lot of neat features. The car has a lit flux capacitor and a dash with the appropriate date. The hood and gullwing doors are also open. If you create a version of Back to the Future Part IIFolded wheels for flight mode.

Accessories include Lego Minifigs depicting Dr. Emmett Brown and Marty McFly. Plus, there’s Marty’s hoverboard from the second film and a box of plutonium. Bananas and cans can also be used to power Mr. Fusion is like at the end of the first film (or the beginning of the second).

Lego has remained very busy with launching vehicle kits that appear to be aimed at adult builders. In February, the company announced a 1,106-piece model that depicts the Vespa 125 scooter of the 1960s. There’s also a $179.99 McLaren Formula One car model for 1,432 units. Over 25.5 inches (65 centimeters) long, 10.5 inches (27 centimeters) wide and 5 inches (13 centimeters) high.
