Ford Kuga in Europe and North American counterpart Escape are scheduled for styling refreshes. This spy shot gallery captures a pair of updated crossovers on the road in Europe.
Most notably, the updated crossover receives new headlights that are thinner and sharper than the current model. While the grille is mostly covered on these cars, you can see that the outline has a revised shape that appears wider by taking a close look at the camouflage. There have been no spy shots of the updated model’s interior. We can’t rule out some technological updates and adjustments to the materials in the cabin.
The powertrain upgrade is also a mystery. So far, there is no indication of changes to the engine options.
The current-generation Escape debuted in 2019 for the 2020 model year. This refresh comes just a few years into the crossover’s life, but the segment is fiercely competitive. Vehicles need to adapt quickly to challenge the latest entries in the market.
Look for the updated Escape to debut in the United States later this year. It should be sold for the 2023 model year. The timing of the Kuga’s European debut will probably be similar.
