Cadillac Sits Out The 2022 Philadelphia Auto Show

[ad_1]

Cadillac has missed yet another auto show this year, this time opting to sit at the 2022 Philadelphia Auto Show at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

It’s an interesting decision, given that rivals Cadillac Lincoln, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi, among others, are very much present and accounted for at the show. Three other brands under the umbrella of Cadillac’s parent company, General Motors, include Buick, Chevrolet, and GMC.

Philadelphia Auto Show starts on March 5th2022, and will last until March 13th. Show attendees have the opportunity to participate in a ride and ride experience that will allow them to test out new electric vehicles on the showroom’s indoor e-Track. There are also classic car displays, customs and aftermarket displays, plus some vehicles from popular movies. Rides from local car clubs will also be featured, along with various automotive vendors for exhibitors to see.

Considering that there were a number of electric vehicles present at the show, it is interesting that Cadillac chose not to appear at the Philly Auto Show. The Cadillac Lyriq 2023, the luxury brand’s first battery electric vehicle, will enter production at the end of March. As soon as the Debut Edition vehicles land, the next round of orders will be open for customers interested in buying them themselves. With that in mind, it would be logical for Cadillac to show off the Lyriq to potential customers in person. However, given the immense interest in the Lyriq, it’s possible that Cadillac didn’t see the need to further promote its vehicles in Philadelphia.

This isn’t the first time Cadillac has missed this year’s auto show, as the luxury brand was absent from the 2022 Chicago Auto Show, the largest auto show in the US.
