The 2022 Cadillac XT4 is not currently available to order with the equipped Onyx Package, Cadillac Society has learned.
The Onyx package for the 2022 Cadillac XT4 (production code PDB) adds some dark exterior accents to this little luxury crossover. When available, the package can be equipped on all XT4 trim levels, including Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport, adding an additional $2,695 to the vehicle’s overall price.
The Cadillac XT4 Onyx package includes the following content (relevant production code in brackets):

- Black surround grille with Black mesh (RZ9)
- 20 inch Gloss Black Wheels (SKW)
- Cadillac Monochrome (SFZ) Emblem
At this time, it’s unclear why the Onyx Package for the 2022 Cadillac XT4 is currently unavailable, or when it will be available again.
The Onyx plan isn’t the only feature hidden from the current XT4. As Cadillac Society As recently reported, this luxury crossover is also not available to order with an all-weather floor mat until further notice. In addition, the heated steering wheel is restricted, as are the heated and ventilated seats. Cadillac indicated that it might be able to improve on the latter feature at a later time, possibly as soon as mid-2022 when the microchip shortage situation develops.
As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac XT4 has one drivetrain option in North America – a turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), producing 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It bolts to a Cadillac nine-speed automatic transmission. Production takes place at the Cadillac Fairfax Plant in Kansas.
Lastly, it’s worth noting that the Onyx Package is also temporarily unavailable to order on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade. However, restrictions on that package were recently lifted on the Escalade, and it can now be equipped on a full-size luxury SUV after about a month’s absence. At this time, it’s unclear whether the lack of availability of the Onyx Plan with the XT4 will develop in the same way.
