Ferrari 296 GTB Squalo By DMC Is V6 Powered Excellence

[ad_1]

The Ferrari 296 GTB hasn’t even been released yet, and tuners are ready to step up its performance. German tuner DMC has created the Ferrari 296 GTB Squalo which is the ultimate V6 powered hybrid Ferrari. If you’re worried that your Ferrari V6 will be a little too slow, then the team at DMC are ready to add more performance to this already impressive supercar.

The Ferrari 296 GTB is the first real V6-powered Ferrari supercar to add yet another plug-in hybrid to Ferrari’s ever-growing line of PHEVs. Power comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 653 horsepower (487 Kilowatts). This powerful V6 is coupled with an electric motor sandwiched between the V6 engine and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission to help reduce turbo lag and deliver a combined output of 819 horsepower (610 Kilowatts).

The team at DMC found the power output of the Ferrari 296 GTB slightly lacking, which led them to create a Ferrari 296 GTB Squalo tuning package. Squalo means shark in Italian and it is a fitting name for this street predator. DMC adds 80 horsepower to the 296 GTB engine that produces 723 horsepower (539 Kilowatts). That means the Ferrari 296 GTB Squalo has a new total output of 888 horsepower (662 Kilowatts). Not bad for a supercar with a V6.

In addition to the increased power, the Ferrari 296 GTB Squalo benefits from an improved aero package courtesy of the engineers at DMC. To help counteract the increased power, DMC added a new rear wing, rear diffuser, front lip spoiler and side skirts. This increases downforce for the Ferrari 296 GTB Squalo while providing an aggressive look that is sure to stand out from the regular GTB.

If you can’t afford the new Ferrari 296 GTB Squalo, don’t worry, DMC is working on NFT and digital purchases that will be even more affordable. DMC will even let you buy your Squalo with cryptocurrency once your Dogecoin investment reaches supercar level.
