Peugeot Inception Concept Ahead Of January 5 Debut At CES 2023

At the 2022 Paris Motor Show held last month, Peugeot CEO Linda Jackson revealed plans to unveil a new concept. Dubbed the Inception, the showcar will define “the next generation of e-native cars”. In other words, it will serve as a window into the future of cars developed from day one exclusively as EVs. The announcement made today by the company with the lion badge reveals when and where we will see the mysterious EV – on January 5, 2023, at CES.

Instead of being unveiled at a traditional auto show or special event, the Inception concept will be premiering at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show. Yes, Peugeot has opted for a technology-focused event held in Las Vegas to introduce what will be an interesting car. Don’t get too excited about the automaker’s return to the US as parent company Stellantis has decided to focus on brands already active in North America.

In March 2021, said a spokesperson for the auto conglomerate Automotive News that “Stellantis’ new context with a strong presence in the US market allows us to focus on existing brands.” There were plans to bring back Peugeot after it left the US in 1991, but that was scrapped when FCA and PSA merged to become Stellantis.

As for the Inception concept, we’re told it will depict an overhauled cabin with the next-gen i-Cockpit. Peugeot “completely redesigned the interior space” and also “reinterpreted the driving movement”. Stepping out, this CES-bound concept car will provide a glimpse of future design while staying true to its “feline stance and luminous three-claw signatures”. Additionally, next-gen features and technology will be seen for the first time in Inception.

Peugeot has an excellent track record of designing gorgeous concept cars, so we have a strong feeling the 2023 Inception will be a hit too. The official reveal will be held live from CES on Thursday, January 5th, starting at 23:00 CET. The digital presentation is scheduled for the next day, at 09.00 CET.
