If you have an original Sony PlayStation, you may remember playing the car fighting video game series bent metal. The franchise will be back soon but not as a game, but as a live-action comedy-action TV series streaming on Peacock.

Doe has a fun-triggered car thief as a partner on his adventure. Along their journey, they fight criminals driving vehicles ready for war. The announcement also mentions a crazy clown driving an ice cream truck, which refers to Sweet Tooth who is a well-known character in many games.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick of Dead pool and Zombieland came up with this take for the show. Michael Jonathan Smith who is part of the creative staff at Cobra Kai is the showrunner, writer, and executive producer of Twisted Metal. Will Arnett is one of the executive producers.
