2024 Porsche Panamera Rendered After The First Spy Photos

[ad_1]

We were quite surprised when we saw a Porsche Panamera test prototype with a different front fascia last month. While this could be indicative of an extensive facelift, the more likely scenario seems to be a new generation of luxury sedans. Simply put, the car we saw a few weeks ago could be an early test run for the next-generation Panamera.

Porsche is known for the long development time of its new vehicles and it should come as no surprise that Porsche is already working on the new Panamera. Which is currently being refreshed for the 2021 model year and we assume it has at least two more years on the market. If the folks from Stuttgart keep up with their schedule of updates every four years, this means the new Panamera won’t arrive until 2024.

Our friends and colleagues from motor.es Kind enough to share this exclusive rendering with us. It depicts the next generation Panamera and is based on a spy photo from February this year. Obviously, it’s too early to tell if this preview is accurate, although we know it closely follows the design changes seen in the test prototype.

As you can see, we weren’t expecting a radical change in the silhouette as the Panamera will likely retain its hatchback-like rear. Dimensions will grow a bit and the overall profile could develop into a sleeker looking car. A slightly shorter overhang can create a sportier stance.

With the Taycan serving as Panamera’s all-electric sibling, we expect the new Panamera to keep the combustion engine alive. However, according to initial and unconfirmed rumors, all available powertrains will be plug-in hybrids with the most powerful competing directly with the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance.

More information is expected in the coming months, although we doubt we’ll start seeing a test prototype with a production body before 2023.
