Then the Air tag searches for compatible devices within a maximum range of 100m transmits the identifier and position second by second using ultra wideband. There are conditions to be respected in order to take advantage of this function to the maximum, namely that the motorcycle or in any case the Apple air tag is within a maximum of 100 m from the device. If for example this were to be out of coverage, it is essential that the owner has data roaming enabled otherwise it will not work.
