The Hyundai Santa Fe is poised for a significant refresh. Our spy photographer caught the crossover testing, and Hyundai did their best to hide the new design. However, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the model, with previous spy videos providing a thorough overview of the changes. The new photos offer a glimpse at the stylish Hyundai.
The redesigned Santa Fe continues to hide its new sheet metal under cladding and wrapping that changes its shape. While the lid hides a lot of stylish details, the overall shape looks much more boxy than the previous model. It also looks bigger, perhaps growing in size. A square style will be applied to the lighting units, with the Santa Fe adopting square headlights with an H pattern featured by the daytime running lights. The taillights will have a similar motif.

The new crossover should continue to share its foundations with the Kia Sorento, which our spy photographers have also tested. Hyundai looks sharper than its Kia sibling, the Santa Fe adopts a floating roof design with blackened A and B pillars.
The new spy photos don’t capture the interior, but previous spy videos show it. However, Hyundai has hidden most of it, hiding the dashboard and parts of the seats. We expect the modified model to receive the latest in-car technology that is likely to interact with passengers via screens.
This next-generation Santa Fe is still in its early stages of development, so it’s too early to know much about its mechanics. Hyundai is currently offering the Santa Fe 2023 in the US with several options, including a hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain. The crossover is also available with a turbocharged or non-turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Next-generation models should continue to offer a wide range of engine options, including mild hybrids.
Hyundai hasn’t announced when it will reveal the new Santa Fe, but rumors suggest an August 2023 debut for the 2024 model year. The current-generation Santa Fe goes on sale for the 2019 model year, receiving a facelift for 2021. Hyundai could move the revamped Santa Fe upmarket, setting it apart even more. far from Sorento.
