The SEMA show in Las Vegas is always a fun time. Automakers, aftermarket specialists, and more come together to show off the plethora of customization options.
The show starts tomorrow, and Volkswagen will showcase some of the concepts. It has already revealed some of them ahead of opening day, but we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to learn about the Jetta GLI Performance Concept. VW will reveal it at the show. The vehicle lineup showcases exciting new features and accessories, some of which are available from automakers.
Atlas Basecamp Camp Concept
The Atlas Basecamp Camping concept takes the Atlas, with its all-wheel-drive 4Motion, and gives the SUV a formidable upgrade. It features raised H&R suspension and Street Performance Adventure Lift coilovers. All-terrain tires, wrapped around 17-inch wheels, provide grip. In the trunk, VW included a prototype two-in-one air pump capable of inflating camping mattresses or exercise equipment.
Taos Basecamp Active Concept
This rugged crossover that’s smaller than Volkswagen adds Taos to adding some off-road components. The raised suspension adds ground clearance, while the carrying rod and bike rack increase its versatility.
EV Drone Command Concept ID.4
The VW ID.4 EV Drone Command Concept is the car you’d expect with a name like this. VW modified ID.4 to create a Mobile Drone Response Vehicle, a test vehicle for the Tennessee Valley Authority for use in real-world response scenarios. The EV packs a dedicated storage unit for the drone in the trunk and a portable power station. Eighteen-inch wheels and heavy-duty suspension handle the added weight.

Accessories Concept ID.4
The concept showcases the Volkswagen accessories available for the EV. The vehicle has additional features such as a Thule roof basket, Apex-mounted bike rack and splash guard. It also sports eight-inch wheels with H&R TRAK+ wheel spacers and all-terrain tires.
GTI Accessories Concept
The GTI concept is a bit more interesting. Volkswagen decided to give it a new front and rear valence, a rear spoiler and 20-inch glossy black alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance tires. The Golf also gets eight-piston front calipers and 14.6-inch ventilated cross-drilled rotors when driving lower to the ground, thanks to the H&R Street Performance coilover. The roof box adds more versatility to the popular hot hatch.
