Right now, families are looking for bonuses to help them cope with sharp price increases. However, the new € 3,500 bonus available for the car is a great new feature.

When we talk about car bonuses, we usually talk about bonuses for buying a new car. But this is not the case this time. This is because the data also shows that Italians do not want to buy a new vehicle.
A bonus of 3,500 euros to spend
In recent months there has been a collapse in registrations because Italians are reluctant to buy new cars to save as much as possible.
This bonus is therefore a smart bonus. Allows you to improve and upgrade your car without spending money on a new car. In fact, the cars of the Italians are quite old and need to be made more modern and ecological. This is an innovative bonus of 3,500 euros which allows you to carry out special interventions on your car.
The 2022 Retrofit Bonus it is a preferential measure that allows older vehicles to be converted into electric vehicles thanks to state subsidies.
Introduced by law n. 156 of November 9, 2021this measure has just been transferred to the implementing decree of MIMS. Let’s see together how this Bonus works.
2022 Retrofit Bonus
A new bonus dedicated to Italian motorists who does not aim to purchase an electric car to replace the old one, but is a bonus that aims to help all car owners (and others) who want convert your vehicle into electricwithout having to get rid of your old vehicle.

The measure, developed by Sustainable Mobility (MIMS) and from Ministry of Infrastructure and by the Ministry of Economic Development (PUT), provides that the 60% of the costs for the electrical conversion of vehicles.
THE affected vehicles, according to the MIMS note, they range from “minivans for transporting passengers, to vehicles with a capacity of eight or more passengers, to cargo vans originally registered with an internal combustion engine”.
This means that you will be able to claim the bonus if you have converted both a car, van or van, and freight vehicles up to 3.5 tons to electric drive.
Anyone who converted their car starting from November 10, 2021, the date the law comes into force, or who will do so in the coming months can apply for the bonus. The deadline for submitting applications is set by the ministerial order at December 31, 2022.

How much is the bonus worth
60% of the cost for the redevelopment will be covered, up to 3,500 euros, “to which will be added 60% of the costs related to the provincial transcription tax, stamp duty, and stamp duty for registration to the PRA (Public Automobile Registry) ”, explains the Ministry.
The initiative, for which they were allocated 14 million euroswas one of the most awaited: we have been talking about it since 2016, when the regulation for the conversion of conventional vehicles into electric vehicles was published in the Official Gazette, which defines the scope of intervention and the approval procedures.
It is easy to imagine that the main beneficiaries of this bonus will be owners of classic cars and old Euro 0, 1 and 2 vans, who intend to keep their vehicles without giving up the privilege of sustainable mobility (and fuel economy, which these days it is not a negligible topic).
The Bonus has been highly anticipated, because we know that converting a car into an electric vehicle is not cheap at all. An incentive like this could really make a difference for many Italians who wish transform your car.
