2023 Kia Sorento Price Starts at $31,285, Top Trim Cost $44,885

The Kia Sorento 2023 will be slightly more expensive to start with than the previous model year. The crossover will have a starting price of $31,285 (all prices include a $1,295) destination fee, $400 more than the 2022 entry-level Sorento LX.

The Sorento 2023 will be available with a naturally aspirated or turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The NA engine produces 191 horsepower (142 kilowatts) and 181 pound-feet (245 Newton-meters) of torque. The turbocharged motor produces more power, pumping out 281 hp (209 kW) and 311 lb-ft (421 Nm) of torque. The engine is paired to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the naturally aspirated one is connected to an eight-speed automatic.

While the Sorento’s design remains unchanged for 2023, Kia does a packaging rejigger across all trims. All-wheel drive is now standard on the SX Prestige (SX-P) trim. It also features retractable rear doors, a 115-volt power inverter, a revised bumper, and gloss black exterior accents. On the entry-level LX, Kia adds blind-spot collision avoidance, rear-traffic collision avoidance, and safe exit assist to its advanced driver assistance system.

Other trims in the Sorento lineup get more modest upgrades for 2023. The S gets wireless smartphone charging, while the EX trim now comes with eight-way front passenger seats and frameless mirrors. The SX trim adds a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, collapsible exterior mirrors and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The X-Line Package changes the look of the crossover by adding 20-inch alloy wheels, unique bumpers and exterior details, as well as a roof rack.

Kia released prices for the rest of the Sorento line earlier this year. The Kia Sorento Hybrid 2023 starts at $37,885, while the plug-in hybrid variant is $51,185.
