Ford added more Bronco variants, and demand kept the company busy. So busy that it will close the order book for the 2022 Bronco on March 7 as the company works to deliver the off-road SUV to eager customers. The announcement was first revealed on Bronco6G.com and later posted to Ford’s website listing several changes to the Bronco 2022 ordering process that could affect the delivery process.
In its FAQ, Ford asks customers to convert their reservations to orders before March 7; However, the company makes “no guarantees” about customers getting the 2022 model. Customers can also wait for the 2023 model as Ford plans to open an order bank again later this year. Ford will begin taking orders for the Bronco Raptor sometime after the March 7 deadline.

Ford also changed the production of the Bronco to bring more models. The company has removed paint protection from all 2022 Broncos except for the Bronco Wildtrack. The Blue Oval said this would “increase the chances of more Broncos” being built this year. Customers who still want protection should obtain a dealer-installed paint protective film.
Ford also recommends that customers remove the Tow Trailer package, with 60 percent of orders wanting this option. However, Ford was unable to meet that request, and customers who removed that option could opt for the dealer-installed option. Ford is still having issues with print-in-color hardtops, and opting for a soft top might give customers a “better chance” to get their SUV into production for 2022.
Ford has struggled to meet the high demand for off-road SUVs. Many internal and external problems have caused several production delays for Ford, which have only been exacerbated by having struggled to deliver vehicles to customers. Earlier this month, Ford had to stop production of the Bronco as an ongoing semiconductor shortage plagued the industry. Broncos piled up waiting for parts, which only made the problem worse.
