The Acura ILX is leaving the automaker’s ranks, the company confirmed to Motor1.com. “The 2022 model year is the final model year for the ILX, in anticipation of the new Integra,” said spokesman Chris Naughton. Motor1.com.
“The new Integ was developed from day one to convey the original lineage that began with the Integra in 1986. It is a continuation of the formula that brought so many first-time buyers into the Acura family and will be a new entry point to the brand,” said Naughton. Motor1.com.

Rumors of the ILX’s death stemmed from a YouTube video in which two Acura dealer employees discuss the future of the model in relation to the upcoming Integra.
“Integ will replace ILX. That is a clear message from them without saying that ILX will leave,” said one of the presenters. Tire Meets Road wrote about the clip. The video below begins during this part of the conversation.
The Acura ILX debuted for the 2013 model year as the brand’s entry-level product. It sold slowly at first, and the company introduced minor updates to the vehicle for the 2014 model year. The 2016 model received a refresh that included a more powerful standard engine. An even more significant style and technology update is arriving for 2019.
Acura began taking orders for the Integra 2023 on March 10. This brand still keeps many secrets about it. For example, we know the vehicle uses a 1.5 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine but do not know the output. This sedan version of the Honda Civic Si produces 200 horsepower (149 kilowatts) and 192 pound-feet (260 Newton-meters) of torque.
The Integra is available with a six-speed manual transmission. There’s also an automatic option, but the company hasn’t offered details about the gearbox.
Acura has yet to release official photos of the Integra’s interior. There is a prototype on display at the Rolex 24 in Daytona with the windows open. The cabin of the car bears a strong resemblance to the current Civic Si.
The Integra goes on sale later this spring. Acura says prices start at around $30,000.
