2023 Kia Telluride Starting at $37,025 Costs $54k In Top Trim

Kia has announced pricing for the updated Telluride 2023. The popular SUV is a bit more expensive than last year’s, and there’s a new trim that costs the Telluride over $50,000. The starting point is $37,025, a $2,300 increase over 2022. That includes Kia’s $1,335 destination fee.

At that price, you get a Telluride LX that only spins the front wheels with three rows of seating inside. Kia includes a suite of driver assistance and Drive Wise safety systems, with features such as forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, fixed lane assistance, navigation-based smart cruise control, and more. You also get the same engine and transmission that all Telluride trim levels use: a 3.8-liter V6 that makes 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, managed by an eight-speed automatic.

All-wheel drive is available in all trim levels as a $2,000 option, except for the new SX-Prestige which includes it as standard. Serving as the new Telluride flagship, the SX-Prestige starts at $51,725, which is a lot higher than the 2022-high-range Telluride. For 2023, Kia has also added an X-Line and X-Pro package that raises the price even further. Prior to the options, the Kia Telluride SX-Prestige X-Pro was the most expensive at $54,120.

The X-Line and X-Pro are the new rugged themed packs for the Telluride 2023. Starting with the X-Line, which mounts a new grille and wheels, roof rails, and on the mechanical side, the X-Line sits almost half an inch taller. The X-Pro includes all of that plus its own set of custom 18-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in all-terrain tires. It also has a slightly better towing capacity of 5,500 pounds.
