Bentley Continental GTC Gets Pastel Paint Change From Mulliner

Bentley features the extensive customization options available through the Mulliner with three limited edition Continental GT Speed Convertibles. The cars, commissioned by Bentley Beverley Hills, each sport a special pastel exterior color that harks back to Hollywood’s Art Deco days – Jetstream II Blue, Sage Green, and Hollywood Blush Pink.

The one finished in blue also showcases the color on the 10-spoke 22-inch alloy wheels. Inside, Bentley installed a Linen main leather with contrast stitching and Imperial Blue for the second. Each car is equipped with Styling, Touring and City specifications, and illuminated sill plates bearing the words “The Beverly Hills” featured in 1930s-era typeface, further tying the vehicle’s custom look to that era.

The second Continental GT Speed Convertible wears Sage Green, a muted color that covers the body and wheels, which are accented with white stripes on the outer rims. It’s the same thing inside, with Cumbrian Green and Linen used throughout the cabin. Bentley also uses color on the veneer dashboard and waist rails. The third Bentley wears a pastel pink “Hollywood Blush” that extends to the rim like the other two. Inside, the automaker paired Linen with Cricketball red, the two colors Bentley used on the dashboard veneer and waist rails.

“Beverly Hills has always been the epitome of glamor, especially during Hollywood’s Golden Age,” said Danika Quinn, the automaker’s brand manager. “This collection is a nod to a bygone Old Hollywood era that encapsulates the spirit of the time; bold white tires, a soft color palette, and a unique design that embodies the “class” of a classic car.”

The Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible will debut in April 2021. The luxury car packs a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W12 engine, which produces 650 horsepower (485 kilowatts) and 664 pound-feet (900 Newton-meters) of torque. An eight-speed dual clutch transmission and all-wheel drive are standard.

The three commissioned cars help highlight Bentley’s Mulliner customization program and high-quality craftsmanship. Bentley has seen demand for certain Mulliner features continue to grow since 2020. According to the company, demand for Mulliner specialty paints has doubled while personal commission amounts have tripled.
