• The Acura TLX Type S PMC Edition 2023 will be built at the same Performance Manufacturing Center that is currently building the final version of the NSX, the 600-hp Type S.
• The TLX Type S PMC Edition will be offered in three paint colors from the NSX—Curva Red, 130R White, and Long Beach Blue.

UPDATE 10/5/22: Acura has announced that orders are open for the 2023 TLX Type S PMC Edition, as long as you want a sports sedan in the Curva Red. If you wish to set your PMC Edition in 130R White, you will have to wait until November 9th to place an order, while those wishing to purchase a car at Long Beach Blue Pearl will have to wait until December 8th to make a reservation. .

The Acura NSX is stepping back after the 2022 model year, ending a six-year journey with a limited-production 600-horsepower Type S variant. But while the Acura Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio will soon finish building the mid-engined hybrid sports car, Center engineers will remain busy making the 2023 Acura TLX Type S PMC Edition, which takes inspiration from the NSX with fresh design and color updates. palette.

The PMC Edition gets a few visual changes—the roof, antenna and door handles are painted in Berlina Black, while the quad exhaust tips are chrome-plated black. The 20-inch alloy wheels feature a copper hue, while the special edition also adds a carbon fiber lip spoiler and rear diffuser, as well as black side sill trim and exterior badging. The PMC Edition will be offered in three colors borrowed from the NSX—Curva Red, 130R White, and Long Beach Blue.

Carbon fiber also appears in the interior of the PMC Edition, along with exclusive floor mats and illuminated door frames. Each exterior paint option is paired with a different interior color—Curva Red is paired with a black interior with red stitching, Long Beach Blue comes with a white interior and blue stitching, and the 130R White gets a red interior. There’s also a small numbered plaque on the bottom center console as a reminder of the PMC Edition’s exclusivity.

The PMC edition also received the same special post-production treatment as the NSX, with a dyno check, paint check, and rough road simulation test. Vehicles are covered by car covers and delivered to dealerships in a single enclosed car carrier. Orders for the TLX Type S PMC Edition will open later this year ahead of limited production, but Acura hasn’t said how much it will cost. Expect a sizeable increase from the Type S’s $54,795 starting price.
