Few supercars actually drive every day, but the Audi R8 2023 seems designed for such a task. It offers quite a relaxing ride along with its very high acceleration. The R8 shares its foundation and powertrain — the mighty V-10 and seven-speed automatic — with the wild Lamborghini Huracán. Audi is less hardcore than Lambo, though, less intense on winding roads or racetracks. What the R8 offers in exchange is a level of refinement that is more in line with the rest of Audi’s lineup. Its comfortable two-seater cabin is upholstered in high-end materials and features a minimalist design that ignores the center-mounted infotainment display in favor of a digital gauge display that serves both purposes. The interior is comfortable for both driver and passenger, and the R8 would make a great touring car if it weren’t for the small cargo area that only fits one carry-on suitcase. What’s New in 2023?

This year marks the end of production of the current generation R8. Audi is shipping the supercar with a limited edition GT model, offered exclusively with rear-wheel drive and a 602-hp version of the car’s V-10 engine. The GT also uses a revised seven-speed automatic transmission, which Audi claims offers faster gearshifts, and a Torque Rear driving mode that encourages drift to make the R8 easier.
