The sixth-generation Nissan Patrol has been out for nearly 13 years, but one tuner is still focusing on the respectable SUV. Although Manhart made a name for himself by upgrading BMWs, German aftermarket specialists have been thinking outside the Bavarian box lately with other projects. We’ve already seen upgraded versions of the Defender, Audi RS3, and AMG SL. After many Euro cars, it has now decided to work its magic on Japanese vehicles.
Look beyond Manhart’s signature black and gold hue and you’ll realize this isn’t your ordinary Patrol. Indeed, it’s based on the hotter version of the Nismo that came out in late 2015 before the facelift early last year. The two-tone performance SUV seen here started out as an updated model before receiving giant 24-inch wheels. It has also been brought a little closer to the road for more ruthless horses.

It continues to use the 5.6-liter V8 as the Patrol Nismo, but is no longer naturally aspirated. Manhart has used a supercharger to produce 650 horsepower and 600 Newton-meters (443 pound-feet) of torque. As a refresher, the standard model produces 428 hp and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) sent to both axles via a seven-speed automatic transmission. To complement the upgraded engine, there’s now a custom exhaust that delivers a more aggressive soundtrack.
There’s no word on how the supercharger kit will positively impact performance, but we’ll remind you that Nissan says the regular Patrol Nismo does 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in about 7.3 seconds. That might not be all that impressive, though not too bad considering the mastodont weighs 2,665 kilograms (5,875 pounds).
The luxurious black and gold theme continues inside where it’s clear that the Nissan Patrol has been around the block for some time. Manhart tries to beautify the cabin with luxurious leather and Alcantara, but there’s no denying that the interior looks dated when you compare it to the latest full-size SUVs.
While this is only an official rendering for now, the tuner is taking orders for the soup SUV for sale in the United Arab Emirates.
