Nissan gave the Frontier pickup a thorough refresh for the 2022 model year. The truck has languished in the line for more than 15 years, but the update puts the pickup on an equal footing with its rivals. However, when Border 2023 arrives, it will be slightly more expensive than before, starting at $30,485 (all prices include a $1,295) destination fee. The 2022 border starts at $29,985.
New for 2023 is the Midnight Edition pack. Nissan will make this available on the SV Crew Cab model, with the package adding 17-inch alloy wheels painted black, black exterior mirrors, black exterior badging, and black bumper and grille. The truck also received LED fog lamps, headlights and taillights. Inside, there are black accents and a black headliner. It costs an additional $1,790.

While Nissan is updating the Frontier for 2022, the truck’s current engine made its debut on the previous generation model. It’s a 3.8-liter V6 engine that produces 310 horsepower (231 kilowatts) and 281 pound-feet (391 Newton-meters) of torque. The truck receives an all-new exterior design that looks tougher and a modern interior with an 8.0-inch infotainment screen as standard equipment.
Nissan Frontier 2023 is sold out. Slight price hikes are annoying, but Nissan isn’t the only automaker to adjust prices year after year.
